Soprano Victoria Bartolomeo holds degrees from Longy School of Music with a Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Lebanon Valley College located in Annville, Pennsylvania.
In the summer of 2011, she participated in the New England Conservatory Summer Opera Program, which entailed a three-week intensive workshop that covered staging, acting, and performance appropriate practices.
Ms. Bartolomeo's partial roles include: Ilia in Idomeneo, Blanche in Dialogues of the Carmelites, and the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte. In April of 2014, she performed in MetroWest Opera's production of Hansel & Gretel. In September of 2017, Victoria sang the role of Dodo in The Merry Widow by Franz Lehar with Worcester Schubertiade.
Moreover, Ms. Bartolomeo has experience as a recitalist. During her Master's Degree Recital, Victoria performed selections from Georg Friedrich Händel's Neun Deutschen Arien, selections from Ralph Vaughan William's Along the Field with violin, and French and German Romantic art songs. In October of 2014, Ms. Bartolomeo presented vocal selections by Boston-based composer Salvatore Arnò (1884-1963).
During voice lessons, Victoria goes into more depth than just teaching songs to students; she guides students in improving their vocal quality, range, and abilities. In addition to improving each person's vocal technique, Ms. Bartolomeo's instruction guides students in improving their ability to read music and to learn songs on their own time. This trait, combined with increasing their vocal capabilities, allows students to join select vocal groups and enables them to participate in District Choir.
Victoria has been playing piano for 14 years. Most recently, she performed at a fundraiser sponsored by the Westford Historical Society, playing an antique Steinway piano during An Evening at the Abbott Estate. Victoria played selections by Donaudy, Mendelssohn, and Schumann, to name a few.
Ms. Bartolomeo is currently teaching private voice and piano lessons at Hopkinton Center for the Arts. She instructs beginning to intermediate voice and piano students. Victoria adapts each individual lesson to help the student learn, whether they be visual, kinesthetic, or aural learners at heart.
Victoria is a voice student of Ms. Renée Tatum.
